NO ONE SAID IT WOULD BE EASY

It didn't take long in the reverse mortgage industry to recognize that there was a gap between the potential value of the solutions and the perceptions in the marketplace.  The math was indisputable but people still seemed to be hung up on a misunderstanding of how to include housing wealth in retirement.

The opportunity was also very clear.  With well over 30 million homeowners over the age of 62, an industry that produces less than 50 thousand units a year is clearly underperforming.

It took time, lots of testing, thousands of conversations, countless plane flights, late nights, sips of whiskey, and complex excel spreadsheets, but slowly the veil has been removed on how to unlock the growth of individual businesses as well as access to professionals to scale and repeat that growth.  Now, we're thrilled to have the opportunity to share all we've learned, helping to elevate businesses and advance an industry.

RYAN'S STORY

With over 20 years in financial services, a long time friend introduced Ryan to retirement lending in 2017.  Initially thinking products like reverse mortgages were a scam, he turned down the opportunity multiple times until he was finally challenged to just do the math.

Shortly after recognizing the impact accessing home equity could have on retirement planning, Ryan began designing content, meeting with financial professionals, and assisting the lending industry in communicating and illustrating the benefits of home equity in retirement.

When he's not helping businesses grow, Ryan can be found writing and recording music, coaching several youth sports, promoting giving programs, and serves on multiple boards throughout the country.
